On the ground

This work in Gillette

This is the work Gillette is best set up for. Energy industry banquets, award nights, and conferences with a full program: presenters, video, awards, and a run of show that has to hold together. Those rooms have docks, real power, and house AV worth patching into. We build from your run of show, staff the board all night, and keep a wired microphone live at the podium so a fumbled handoff never becomes the story.

Conditions in Gillette

Gillette is about two and a half hours out, so we plan every job here as an overnight with travel and lodging in your quote from the start. No surprises on the invoice later. The upside is that the rooms are large and properly equipped, with docks, real power, and staff who run events for a living. Corporate work here usually carries a full program with presenters, video, and awards, which needs considerably more than a music system and a good attitude. Winter events are common because the calendar is not tied to tourist season, and any plan has to account for I-90 closing in a Wyoming blizzard.

How we work

Our approach

01

We work from your run of show

Corporate events live or die on the program. Send us the run of show and we build the audio and playback plan around it: who is speaking when, which video plays where, when the lights need to come down, and where the gaps are that music has to cover. If you do not have one yet, we will help you build it.

02

We plan for the microphone getting handed around

Award nights mean a microphone moving between people who have never held one. We set gain for that, keep a hardwired podium microphone live as a backup, and put a second wireless in the room so a dead battery is an inconvenience instead of a stoppage. Somebody on our crew is watching the handoffs all night.

03

We staff the board the whole time

Set it and leave it works until a presenter walks away from the podium or a video comes in twelve decibels hot. We keep a technician at the board from the first announcement to the last, because the whole point of hiring production is that somebody is paying attention when something changes.
