Front of house, monitors, and an engineer who stays at the board

What is included

What you get

Bands, speakers, worship teams, and anything else that needs a real system and somebody mixing it. We work the input list with you before the date, build in a proper line check, and have an engineer at the board for the whole performance.

  • A front of house system sized to the room and the audience
  • Monitor mixes for the band, the speaker, or the worship team
  • Input list and stage plot worked out with the artist ahead of the date
  • A real line check and soundcheck built into the schedule
  • An engineer at the board for the entire performance
  • Wireless and wired microphones, DI boxes, and stands
  • Power distribution that will not trip the building
  • A recording or stream feed off the board on request
  • Load in, patch, and load out handled by us

How we work

Our approach

01

The input list comes before the date, not at line check

Every act has a stage plot and an input list, even the ones who have never written one down. We get it in advance, work out the channel count, the monitor sends, and what has to be wireless, and show up with the right rig patched and ready. Sorting this out at load in is how soundchecks run an hour long.

02

Monitors matter more than the main system

The audience notices front of house. The performers only notice monitors. If the band cannot hear itself, the performance suffers regardless of how good the room sounds out front. We build monitor mixes properly and check them with each performer rather than sending everyone the same thing.

03

Somebody stays at the board

A live mix is not a setting, it is a job. Levels move, a guitarist changes pedals, a speaker steps back from the microphone. We keep an engineer at the console through the whole performance so those things get handled in the moment instead of becoming the thing everyone remembers.

What we bring

On the truck

We size the system to your room and your guest count rather than rolling the same rig into every job.

  • Front of house system scaled from a small room to an outdoor field
  • Subwoofers where the material calls for them
  • Stage monitors with independent mixes, or in ear support
  • Digital console with enough channels for the input list plus spares
  • Dynamic and condenser microphones, DI boxes, stands, and cable
  • Wireless channels coordinated to avoid interference
  • Power distribution and grounding appropriate to the venue or generator
  • A board feed for recording or streaming on request

Questions

What people ask us

Do you provide an engineer, or just the gear?

Both are available, but we strongly recommend the engineer. A system with nobody mixing it is a rental, and it will sound like one. If budget is the constraint, tell us and we will scope the system down before we scope the engineer out.

Can you handle multiple bands with fast changeovers?

Yes. Multi act nights are a stage management problem as much as an audio one. We build a patch that covers every act's input list, work out a changeover order in advance, and keep the set schedule moving so the last band still gets its full time.

What if the venue only has household power?

That is common at outdoor and rural sites here. We plan the power before we plan the audio: what circuits exist, what they are already carrying, and whether we need a generator. Clean power and proper grounding are not optional, and a system browning out mid set is entirely preventable.

Can we get a recording of the performance?

Yes, we can pull a feed off the board. Be aware that a board feed is a rough document rather than a mixed record, because it captures what went through the console and not what the room sounded like. If you need something closer to a real recording, tell us early so we can plan for it.
