Power, weather, and a stage schedule that holds
On the ground
This work in Belle Fourche
Roundup week is the big one here, and rodeo grounds production is its own discipline: announce audio that carries over a crowd and livestock, music between events, and a schedule that does not wait for anybody. We plan your coverage and the power before we talk about speakers. Outside of Roundup, outdoor events here are community celebrations at a much easier scale and we scope them accordingly.
Conditions in Belle Fourche
Belle Fourche work is community halls, church spaces, and ranch properties, which are practical rooms with no house audio worth planning around. We bring all of it. Early July is Roundup week and the whole town is committed to it, so we schedule around that rather than into it. The drive from Rapid City runs about an hour, which means an earlier call time on our end and no surprises on yours.

How we work
Our approach
Power comes before audio
Outdoor sites almost never have the power people assume they do. We walk the site, find out what circuits exist and what else is already on them, and figure out whether a generator is required. Getting this wrong does not cause a small problem. It causes the system going down in the middle of a headline set.
The weather plan is agreed in advance
Afternoon storms in the Black Hills are normal and they arrive fast. Before the date we agree on who makes the call, at what point, and what happens when they make it. Covering gear, pulling a stage, or moving indoors are all workable if they were decided beforehand and chaotic if they were not.
Changeovers are a schedule problem
Multi act outdoor events run late because changeovers eat the schedule. We patch for every act on the bill in advance, work out the order with your stage manager, and keep transitions tight. The last band on the bill is usually the one people came for, and it should not be the one that gets cut short.
