Live Sound and PA Systems in Wall
Front of house, monitors, and an engineer who stays at the board
On the ground
This work in Wall
Live music in Wall is community events and the occasional band at a ranch celebration. Open prairie gives you almost no ambient noise, which is pleasant to mix in, and no reflections at all, which means the system has to do every bit of the work itself. We size for the distance rather than the crowd. Your input list comes ahead of time, because there is no fixing a surprise out here.
Conditions in Wall
Wall is open prairie, which means heat and no shade are the two things every outdoor plan has to solve. Summer afternoons run hot enough that we think hard about where your guests are sitting relative to the sun, because a beautiful ceremony is still miserable at ninety eight degrees in direct light. There is very little rental support in town, so we arrive with backups for anything that matters, since the nearest replacement is fifty five miles behind us. Badlands ceremonies need a permit and their own lead time, so those get started early.

How we work
Our approach
The input list comes before the date, not at line check
Every act has a stage plot and an input list, even the ones who have never written one down. We get it in advance, work out the channel count, the monitor sends, and what has to be wireless, and show up with the right rig patched and ready. Sorting this out at load in is how soundchecks run an hour long.
Monitors matter more than the main system
The audience notices front of house. The performers only notice monitors. If the band cannot hear itself, the performance suffers regardless of how good the room sounds out front. We build monitor mixes properly and check them with each performer rather than sending everyone the same thing.
Somebody stays at the board
A live mix is not a setting, it is a job. Levels move, a guitarist changes pedals, a speaker steps back from the microphone. We keep an engineer at the console through the whole performance so those things get handled in the moment instead of becoming the thing everyone remembers.
