Ceremony Audio in Rapid City
Everyone hears the vows. That is the whole job
On the ground
This work in Rapid City
Rapid City ceremonies land in three very different places: church sanctuaries, hotel rooms, and open ground on acreages past the edge of town. Churches usually have a house system, and we will use it when it is good and quietly bring our own when it is not. Outdoors your guests spread out and traffic noise sits under everything, so placement does the work that volume cannot. Your vows get heard in the back row. That is the entire job.
Conditions in Rapid City
Rapid City has the widest range of rooms in the region, so the plan changes a lot from job to job. A conference hotel ballroom is a different night than a downtown space or an open air plaza, and we spec from your actual room rather than from a standard package. The thing worth knowing about Saturdays here is that the good rooms turn over back to back, so our load in window is a real one and we work to it. Summer books out early because tourist season and wedding season land on top of each other, and the first two weeks of August belong to the rally in every direction. We are based here, so travel is not a line on your quote.

What is included
What you get
The ceremony is the part of the day with no second take. We place the system so the back row hears the vows as clearly as the front row, run your music cues to your timing, and keep the gear out of your photos.
- A site walk, or a photo and video review, of your ceremony location before the date
- Speakers placed and aimed for where guests will actually be sitting
- A wireless lavalier on the officiant
- A discreet second microphone on the couple when the site calls for it
- Prelude music as guests are seated
- Processional and recessional cues run to your timing, not a stopwatch
- Microphone support for readings, singers, and instrumentalists
- Battery power for sites with no outlet within reach
- Wind screens on every microphone outdoors, as a default
- A setup that stays quiet, stays back, and stays out of frame
How we work
Our approach
We look at the site first
Ceremony audio is a placement problem more than an equipment problem. Where guests sit, which way the wind moves in the afternoon, whether there is an outlet within two hundred feet, and where your photographer is going to want to stand all change what we bring. We would rather know that in advance than solve it an hour before.
We run your cues, not a stopwatch
The processional starts when the doors open and the aisle is clear, not when the clock says so. We watch the room and take the cue from what is happening. If somebody is thirty seconds late, the music covers it and nobody in the audience knows anything went differently than planned.
We stay out of the way
The gear should not be the thing people notice. We use the smallest system that will do the job properly, hide what we can, and place what we cannot behind the sightlines your photographer is working with. A ceremony that sounds perfect and looks like nobody ran it is the goal.
