On the ground

This work in Custer

Corporate work in Custer is retreats and lodge banquets, groups that came here for the setting rather than the meeting rooms. Those properties handle people well but were never built as conference facilities, so we confirm what your room can actually do early instead of assuming. Cell service is unreliable at several of them, which matters a great deal if your program depends on streaming anything. We bring what the program needs and staff it the whole way through.

Conditions in Custer

Custer State Park ceremony sites need a permit, and amplified sound, vehicle access, and setup time all come with conditions we work from rather than around. Most of those locations have nothing to plug into, so battery is standard here instead of an upgrade. Wildlife is a real scheduling factor and we mean that literally: bison on the wildlife loop turn a fifteen minute drive into forty, and they will do it on your wedding day. We build the buffer into your timeline. Outside the park, Custer is barn and ranch country and it reads a lot more like Piedmont.

How we work

Our approach

01

We work from your run of show

Corporate events live or die on the program. Send us the run of show and we build the audio and playback plan around it: who is speaking when, which video plays where, when the lights need to come down, and where the gaps are that music has to cover. If you do not have one yet, we will help you build it.

02

We plan for the microphone getting handed around

Award nights mean a microphone moving between people who have never held one. We set gain for that, keep a hardwired podium microphone live as a backup, and put a second wireless in the room so a dead battery is an inconvenience instead of a stoppage. Somebody on our crew is watching the handoffs all night.

03

We staff the board the whole time

Set it and leave it works until a presenter walks away from the podium or a video comes in twelve decibels hot. We keep a technician at the board from the first announcement to the last, because the whole point of hiring production is that somebody is paying attention when something changes.
