Live Sound and PA Systems in Custer
Front of house, monitors, and an engineer who stays at the board
On the ground
This work in Custer
The ambient noise floor around Custer is genuinely low, and that is an advantage most rooms never hand you. We can mix at a sane level and still have it land, which means your audience hears the band instead of enduring it. The flip side is that sound carries much farther than people expect out here, and in and near the park there are firm limits on how loud anything is allowed to get. We work your stage plot out ahead of the date and keep an engineer at the board through the set.
Conditions in Custer
Custer State Park ceremony sites need a permit, and amplified sound, vehicle access, and setup time all come with conditions we work from rather than around. Most of those locations have nothing to plug into, so battery is standard here instead of an upgrade. Wildlife is a real scheduling factor and we mean that literally: bison on the wildlife loop turn a fifteen minute drive into forty, and they will do it on your wedding day. We build the buffer into your timeline. Outside the park, Custer is barn and ranch country and it reads a lot more like Piedmont.

How we work
Our approach
The input list comes before the date, not at line check
Every act has a stage plot and an input list, even the ones who have never written one down. We get it in advance, work out the channel count, the monitor sends, and what has to be wireless, and show up with the right rig patched and ready. Sorting this out at load in is how soundchecks run an hour long.
Monitors matter more than the main system
The audience notices front of house. The performers only notice monitors. If the band cannot hear itself, the performance suffers regardless of how good the room sounds out front. We build monitor mixes properly and check them with each performer rather than sending everyone the same thing.
Somebody stays at the board
A live mix is not a setting, it is a job. Levels move, a guitarist changes pedals, a speaker steps back from the microphone. We keep an engineer at the console through the whole performance so those things get handled in the moment instead of becoming the thing everyone remembers.
